Graduate trainee - CURRENT VACANCY

THE CANDIDATE:

We are currently recruiting for a person to join our team who would like to train for a professional qualification whilst working. You will have successfully completed your degree. Accountancy and business based qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.

THE TRAINING:

We are committed to assisting our students attain their ACCA qualification and pay for all books and course fees to attend structured block release courses provided by BPP in Bristol. Jay & Jay Partnership Limited is an ACCA Approved Training Practice. We aim to give practical experience of the subjects as you study them to help you put them into practice.

THE ROLE:

As a member of our team you will have exposure to the accounts production, audit and taxation work, for a variety of our clients. Our philosophy is to empower our employees and let them work to their maximum potential.  You will work as part of a team but will also have the opportunity to use your own judgment.

THE PACKAGE:

In addition to the training outlined above we offer a competitive salary, four weeks annual holiday plus bank holidays and an opportunity to gain valuable working experience in an established accountancy practice.

Manager - POSITION FILLED

We are offering a great opportunity for a varied and challenging role for a qualified accountant with a general practise background.

The role will entail managing a portfolio of clients of various different sizes and industries.

You will be the main point of contact and will be a personable and professional individual who enjoys maintaining and developing client relationships.

You will have a great deal of autonomy with regard to the management of your portfolio and you will be responsible for the delivery of the general practice service to the client.

You will report directly to the partners and your work will include:

• Managing client relationships
• Dealing with clients’ accounting and taxation requirements
• Managing staff
• Allocation and review of assignments
• Raising bills and assisting the firm meet its performance targets

Semi Senior POSITION FILLED

We are offering a varied Semi Senior role that will see you dealing with all aspects of general practice work.

We will provide full study support for ACCA including block release.

Your work will include accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, management accounts and some taxation, according to the level of your experience. Reporting to one of our managers, we aim to build on your existing skills and allow you to develop new ones.

You will be an enthusiastic character who is keen to learn and further yourself within the field of accountancy. You will have at least two years experience in practice.
